Greenhouse farming
Greenhouse Farming Guide
The Greenhouse lets compatible crops grow without the normal outdoor-season restriction and supports fruit-tree seedlings and Paddy farming. It also adds Greenhouse-only fruit trees such as Mango, Banana and Cacao. Seed shop availability remains separate, so the building does not automatically give access to every seed.
Quick answer
Use the Greenhouse for out-of-season crops, compatible fruit trees and Paddy. Keep the planting surface, seed unlock and shop inventory rules intact. Mud Seed is the special exception: its pool follows the current outdoor season.

Unlock and build
How to unlock the Greenhouse
This page gives the short handoff. The detailed High-Quality Goods route remains separate.
1. Complete High-Quality Goods
Complete the High-Quality Goods section of the Village Chief Delivery Catalog. Contest branding helps supply some groups, while Rare Gems are a separate delivery branch.
2. Ask Kisuke to build it
The known construction requirement is Glass Rod ×150. Cost, build days, footprint and capacity remain unverified.
Calculated only: 150 Glass Rods × 5 Glass Fragments per rod = 750 Glass Fragments if you make every rod from fragments.

Field, Ridge, Paddy and environment are different
The Greenhouse changes environment. It does not flatten planting surfaces into one universal soil type.
Field crops
YesNormal field and raised-field crop records keep their outdoor season labels, but the Greenhouse removes the outdoor-season restriction.
Ridge crops
Not verifiedRidge creation and Ridge compatibility inside the Greenhouse are not independently verified.
Paddy
NoGreenhouse is a growing environment; Rice, Wasabi and Lotus Root still use the Paddy surface and their own unlock conditions.
Fruit trees
YesFruit-tree seedlings are compatible. Ordinary tree spacing and every lifecycle edge remain on the Fruit Trees authority.
Mud Seed
YesInside Greenhouse, Mud Seed uses the current outdoor season pool, not an all-season pool.
Resource trees, mushrooms and logs
Not verifiedDo not infer compatibility from Fruit Tree support.
All-season crops
What can grow inside?
Normal crop records retain their outdoor season labels. Greenhouse compatibility is an environment relationship, not a rewritten season list.
Normal field crops
The current shared crop data contains 34 ordinary field or raised-field crop records. Use the full Crops database for names, seasons, growth times and unlock notes instead of duplicating the full table here.
Inside the Greenhouse, their outdoor season restriction is removed where the shared environment rule applies. Their original Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter label does not change.
Ridge and special surfaces
Ridge compatibility is not independently verified. Tea remains a Ridge crop with its own harvest rules. Resource trees, mushrooms/log crops, flowers and other special planting surfaces should not be treated as compatible merely because ordinary field crops are.
Open Farming authority →Paddy
Rice, Wasabi and Lotus Root keep Paddy requirements
The Greenhouse removes outdoor-season pressure, not the crop's planting surface or unlock gate.
Paddy
Rice
Outdoor label: Spring. Unlock: Obtain sickle.
Greenhouse may remove the season restriction, but the Plow and Paddy surface remain required.
Paddy
Wasabi
Outdoor label: Spring / Summer. Unlock: Obtain sickle.
Greenhouse may remove the season restriction, but the Plow and Paddy surface remain required.
Paddy
Lotus Root
Outdoor label: Autumn / Winter. Unlock: Year 2.
Greenhouse may remove the season restriction, but the Plow and Paddy surface remain required.
Lotus Root keeps its Year 2 boundary in the shared crop record. The Greenhouse is not a shortcut around Year 2 or the Plow.

Mango, Banana and Cacao
These are not ordinary seasonal crops. The current Fruit Trees data marks them as Greenhouse-only.
Greenhouse-only
Mango
Planting item: fruit-tree sapling. Outdoor season: none in the canonical record. Shop route: after Greenhouse construction through Sazanka's General Store.
Documented uses include Mango Jam, Dried Mango, Mango Spirit.
Greenhouse-only
Cacao
Planting item: fruit-tree sapling. Outdoor season: none in the canonical record. Shop route: after Greenhouse construction through Sazanka's General Store.
Documented uses include Cacao Jam.
Greenhouse-only
Banana
Planting item: fruit-tree sapling. Outdoor season: none in the canonical record. Shop route: after Greenhouse construction through Sazanka's General Store.
Documented uses include Banana Jam, Dried Banana.
Building the Greenhouse and buying a sapling are separate steps. The exact shop-state refresh timing remains unverified, so do not promise a specific mail, day or first-entry trigger.
Mud Seed
The special Greenhouse season rule
Mud Seed does not use the same all-season behavior as ordinary crops.
Important exception
Greenhouse Mud Seed uses the current outdoor season pool
If the outdoor season is Spring, a Mud Seed planted inside the Greenhouse draws from the Spring crop pool. Summer, Autumn and Winter follow the same pattern. It is not an any-season random pool, and it does not become a Paddy crop.
Open Mud Seeds & Cursed Crops authority →Watering
Do not assume automatic irrigation
The current shared records keep Greenhouse Rain and Sprinkler behavior unresolved.
Watering Can
Ordinary field crops still have normal farming needs. Until Greenhouse-specific watering is confirmed, keep manual watering in your plan.
Farming rulesRain
The repository does not confirm whether outdoor Rain waters crops under the Greenhouse. Do not infer from the roof or real-world greenhouse behavior.
Weather authoritySprinklers
Small, Normal and Upgraded Sprinklers have known general coverage, but Greenhouse placement/function remains unresolved. Do not use 8, 24 or 48 cells as a Greenhouse capacity.
Sprinkler authorityQuality and layout
The Greenhouse is flexibility, not a hidden multiplier
Keep normal farming and placement rules until a Greenhouse-specific modifier is verified.
Quality, fertilizer and growth
No Greenhouse crop-quality, fertilizer, growth-speed or yield bonus is documented. Crops grown inside can still use normal quality and contest branding systems where those rules apply.
No fake grid
Exterior footprint, interior dimensions, plantable tile count, clearances, door lanes, object placement, Storage Box placement, Season Scarecrow behavior and Miracle Whistle interaction are not verified. There is no canonical single best layout to draw.
Open Building Placement →Space priority
How to spend Greenhouse space

Completion
How the Greenhouse helps completion
The building is infrastructure for separate completion tracks, not a replacement for their owning authorities.
Catalog
Greenhouse-only saplings and their products matter to collection planning where the Catalog records them. Use the Catalog authority for exact entry status.
CatalogHigh-Quality Goods
The Greenhouse is the reward path after the delivery category is complete. It does not replace branded crop or livestock requirements.
Unlock routeYear-round cleanup
Use it to reduce season dependence for compatible crops while keeping Year 2, Year 3, Plow, shipment and Contest gates intact.

FAQ
Greenhouse farming questions
Can you grow crops year-round in the Greenhouse?
Yes, where the crop is compatible with a documented Greenhouse planting surface. Normal outdoor season restrictions do not apply inside, but seed unlocks and planting-surface rules still apply.
Can you grow any crop in the Greenhouse?
No. Do not treat the Greenhouse as universal crop compatibility. Field crops, fruit-tree seedlings, Paddy and Mud Seed have documented relationships; Ridge, resource-tree, mushroom/log and several special interactions remain bounded or unknown.
Can Fruit Trees grow in the Greenhouse?
Yes. The current Fruit Trees data marks the 13 fruit-tree records as Greenhouse-compatible. Mango, Cacao and Banana are Greenhouse-only.
Can you make Paddy inside the Greenhouse?
Yes. The current building and Paddy data support Greenhouse Paddy. Rice, Wasabi and Lotus Root still require the Paddy surface and their own unlock conditions.
Can Rice, Wasabi and Lotus Root grow out of season there?
The Greenhouse removes the outdoor-season restriction where compatible, but it does not remove the Paddy surface, Plow or later-year unlock boundaries. Lotus Root remains Year 2 in the shared crop record.
Which crops are Greenhouse-only?
The current canonical fruit-tree records identify Mango, Cacao and Banana. They should not be given normal outdoor seasons.
How does Mud Seed work inside the Greenhouse?
Mud Seed uses the current outdoor season crop pool even when planted inside. Spring weather outside points to the Spring pool; it is not an all-season random pool.
Are all seeds sold year-round after building the Greenhouse?
No. General Store inventory keeps its own seasonal and progression rules. Buy or stockpile seeds while their normal shop window is available.
Do you need to water Greenhouse crops?
Do not assume automatic watering. Greenhouse-specific automatic watering, Rain behavior and Sprinkler compatibility remain unresolved in the current data, so ordinary field-crop watering remains relevant until confirmed otherwise.
Does the Greenhouse improve crop quality or growth speed?
No Greenhouse multiplier is documented. Use normal Crop Quality, Fertilizer and growth-time rules.
How do you unlock the Greenhouse?
Complete the High-Quality Goods section of the Village Chief Delivery Catalog, then have Kisuke construct it. See the unlock authority for the full branded-goods route.
Greenhouse construction is the building authority. The linked Shop Inventory Unlocks guide owns Mango, Banana and Cacao shop availability and refresh boundaries.
