Getting Started & Progression

Map, Areas & Key Locations Guide

Use this page as a location directory: find the major regions, facilities, fishing areas, hunting grounds, Quarry access and reusable landmarks. Detailed fish, hunting, Quarry-floor, anomaly and collectible mechanics remain on their owning guides.

No fake pins: the current repository has no canonical coordinate system or legal first-party map image, so this guide uses stable area IDs and landmark text instead of guessed coordinates.

Mukoutsuji & Roads

Mukou Crossroads is the navigation landmark

The repository keeps Mukou Crossroads as the public identity, with Mukoutsuji retained as an alias.

It connects the village-side social route to the mountain path and appears in fishing, Midnight, hunting and collectible references. Small bridges, benches and trees remain landmark text rather than new map entities.

Mountain, Forest & Foraging

Use the route hierarchy

Mountain, Mountain Path, Forest, Thicket and Tunnel are not flattened into one generic forest.

Foraging, fishing, hunting access and seasonal collectibles use the stable area IDs where the current data supports them. Use Resources for resource details.

Hunting Grounds

Choose the correct ground

Grounds are separate location entities; animal relations and licenses remain owned by Hunting.

Quarry

One world area, many internal floors

Quarry access is story-driven; the repository does not promote B1–B120 into 120 world-map locations.

  • World location: Quarry, in the mountain route.
  • Unlock: `story-quarry-unlock`; no fixed Spring 8 date is hardcoded.
  • Internal navigation: B1–B120 and Minecart remain Quarry/Fast Travel systems.
  • Endpoint: B120 and the Hot Spring relation remain owned by Quarry guides.

Underground & Hidden

Paths and landmarks stay reusable

Underground Passage, Cemetery, Tunnel, Watermill and Okami Pool are stable references, not collectible micro-pins.

The Underground Passage is story/Midnight-sensitive. Cemetery and Watermill recur across collectible and event references. Okami Pool is tied to the Waterfall fishing context. Exact unlock dates remain unresolved.

Fox Shrine is not one permanent coordinate.

Mode & Weather

Reuse physical areas

Midnight and weather change functions or encounters, not necessarily the loaded map.

The same hunting ground or fishing area can carry a Midnight or weather condition. Safe Mode keeps ordinary daytime locations but does not inherit unavailable horror systems. No future September 29 farmland geometry is included.

Travel & troubleshooting

When a location seems missing

Check the owning condition before searching for a new map area.

Quarry unavailable

Check story access, not a guessed calendar date.

Wrong hunting ground

Verify the animal, license and ground in Hunting.

Fox Shrine moved

Check the seasonal instance and landmark.

Midnight content missing

Check time, mode, weather and story condition.

FAQ

Map and location questions

Where is the Quarry?

The Quarry is the story-gated mining area in the mountain route. Its internal B1–B120 floors remain separate from world-map locations.

Where is Hunter Lodge?

Hunter Lodge is the village hunting-service facility. Use it for licenses, traps, bait and related exchanges.

Where is Mukoutsuji?

The repository uses Mukou Crossroads as the canonical English name, with Mukoutsuji and Crossroads retained as aliases.

Where is Fox Shrine?

Fox Shrine changes host location by season. Spring is documented up the side path near the Clinic; other seasonal host areas remain unresolved.

Does Fox Shrine stay in one place?

No. It is represented as one seasonal location entity with separate seasonal instances, not one permanent coordinate.

Are Midnight events separate maps?

The current data reuses physical areas and adds time, mode, weather or story conditions. No duplicate Midnight world map is invented.

How do you reach the Quarry faster after the ending?

The postgame Garden–Quarry Back Road is a shortcut owned by Fast Travel and Buildings; this page only shows the connection.

Are locations different in Village in the Sunshine?

Ordinary daytime areas remain represented. Midnight functions are mode-specific and are not automatically carried into Safe Mode.
