Mud Seed comes from a chance-based glowing pickup during Midnight exploration. The exact chance of a Cursed Crop is not published.

Mud Seed

Midnight pickup → seasonal field crop → possible Cursed Crop

Once Midnight exploration is available, check fixed glowing pickup spots for a chance to receive Mud Seed. The spot is fixed; whether the pickup appears and what it gives are random.

1.Explore at Midnight
2.Check glowing pickups
3.Plant Mud Seed in normal field soil
4.Harvest the seasonal result

Mud Seed selects from the eligible field-crop pool for the current season. It does not grow flowers or paddy-field crops. Fruit-tree behavior is not modeled as a Mud Seed outcome, so this page does not make an additional tree exclusion claim.

Harvest carefully

Harvesting Cursed Crops can damage your HP. The damage amount is not established, so watch your health when collecting several at once. This is HP damage, not an invented stamina cost.

Cursed does not mean Gold

A Cursed Crop is not automatically Copper, Silver, Gold, Branded or Contest-qualified. The current page does not attach crop quality, contest, recipe, shipment, eating or processing values to these variants.

Leave roughly a 5×5 area

Current Japanese guide data recommends roughly a 5×5 clear area around each Mud Seed, with two tiles of space around the center. Treat this as practical spacing advice, not a proven exact footprint.

Clear nearby objects

Placed objects such as Sprinklers, walkways or platform tiles within the surrounding area can interfere with giantization. This does not establish that Sprinklers cannot water ordinary Cursed Crops.

Use the Pickaxe to harvest or break a giant Cursed Crop. Giant harvests can yield multiple Cursed Crops and normal crops, but exact quantities are not published.

Winter strategy

AppMedia recommends Winter when your goal is simply to collect Cursed Crops because the eligible Winter field-crop pool is especially small and all three listed Winter outcomes are represented in the Cursed Crop list. This is practical advice, not a 100% or equal-odds claim.

Season changes and Greenhouse

Do not plant so late that a crop cannot finish before the season changes; the exact withering rule is not fully established. Inside the Greenhouse, Mud Seed remains tied to the outside season. Greenhouse giantization is not documented.

Neither category is established as universally more efficient for offerings; the price difference alone does not provide acquisition-rate data.

Cursed Crops are offering materials at Okami-buchi. They do not directly raise HP; the reported progression is Cursed Crop → offering → Pool Master progression → Nushi's Scale → increased maximum HP. The dedicated Okami-buchi route is not currently present in this repository, so this page keeps that explanation brief rather than creating a dead link or duplicating a nonexistent authority page.

FAQ

Cursed Crop questions

How many Cursed Crops are there?

The current crop database documents 18 Cursed Crops: four in Spring, seven in Summer, four in Autumn and three in Winter.

How do I get Cursed Crops?

Plant Mud Seed in normal field soil. It grows into a random eligible crop from the current season and can produce a Cursed Crop; every seed is not guaranteed to become cursed.

Where do I get Mud Seed?

Mud Seed can appear as a random result from glowing pickups during Midnight exploration. The pickup spots are fixed, but the appearance and reward are not guaranteed.

Can Mud Seed grow flowers or paddy crops?

No. Current source data limits Mud Seed to eligible seasonal field crops and excludes flowers and crops grown in paddy fields.

How much do Cursed Crops sell for?

All 18 current Cursed Crop records have a ¥4 base sell price. Do not inherit the normal crop's price.

Which Cursed Crops can become giant?

The documented seasonal candidates are Cursed Turnip in Spring, Cursed Corn in Summer, Cursed Taro in Autumn and Cursed Napa Cabbage in Winter.

Are giant Cursed Crops guaranteed?

No. Giant growth can fail and the crop can grow normally instead. No reliable giantization percentage is published.

Do Cursed Crops hurt when harvested?

Harvesting Cursed Crops can damage the player. The exact damage amount is not documented here.

Can Mud Seed ignore seasons in the Greenhouse?

No current project research supports removing Mud Seed's seasonal rule in the Greenhouse; it remains tied to the outside/current season. Giantization inside the Greenhouse is not established.
