Resource Device Guide
Sap Collector Guide
Attach the Sap Collector to a compatible mature tree and collect its matching sap every 3 days. Six tree types produce six materials used in machines, upgrades and story progression.
The short version
Mature tree in. Tree-specific sap out.
Build the collector at a Workbench, place it on a mature compatible tree, then return after 3 days for the corresponding sap.

How to Get the Sap Collector
Early story progression makes the recipe available. The exact day is not hardcoded.
- 1. Progress the early story. The current source supports early story progression as the safe unlock description. No exact day or Shrine node is claimed.
- 2. Gather the recipe.Collect Wood ×20 and Stone ×5.
- 3. Craft at a Workbench. The Sap Collector is a tree-attached resource device, not a Furnace or Mill processor.

- Wood×20
- Stone×5
Listed sell value: ¥37. This is secondary to the recurring resource system.
Placement and timing
How the Sap Collector Works
The collector follows the identity of the mature tree it is attached to.
1 · Find
A compatible tree
Choose one of the six confirmed tree types below.
2 · Wait
Until mature
Seedlings are not included in the placement rule.
3 · Attach
The collector
Install it on the mature tree. No watering requirement is inferred.
4 · Collect
Every 3 days
The tree determines which sap appears.
Sap collection is separate from seasonal fruit, leaves, cones and shoots. The current data does not establish accumulation, missed-cycle behavior, removal, reuse or what happens if the tree is cut.
All six mappings
Which Tree Gives Which Sap?
Use the canonical tree ID relationships rather than generic tree names.
| Tree | Sap | Collection Cycle | Wood Type | Sell Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bamboo | Bamboo Sap | 3 days | Bamboo | ¥15 |
| Pine Tree | Pine Resin | 3 days | Wood | ¥15 |
| Oak Tree | Sour Sap | 3 days | Wood | ¥15 |
| Chestnut Tree | Sweet Sap | 3 days | Wood | ¥15 |
| Cedar Tree | Sticky Sap | 3 days | Easy Wood | ¥15 |
| Cypress Tree | Fragrant Sap | 3 days | Hard Wood | ¥15 |
All six sap outputs are currently listed as year-round. Chestnut produces Sweet Sap, not Walnut, and each tree has a fixed sap relationship.
Downstream uses

Follow the recipe owner for full downstream details.
Tree planning
Which trees should you plant?
Plan by the sap you need, then use the broader resource database for tree and wood context.
Chestnut, Oak and Pine produce ordinary Wood when cut. Cedar produces Easy Wood, Cypress produces Hard Wood, and Bamboo produces Bamboo. Cutting outputs are separate from the sap mapping.
Open Resources GuideNo invented upgrade
There is no confirmed Upgraded Sap Collector
Many processors have upgrade nodes, but this device does not have one in the current structured data.
The guide therefore does not claim extra slots, faster collection, multiple outputs or a different recipe.
Troubleshooting
Common Sap Collector Problems
Check the mature-tree and mapping rules before changing your route.
Why can't I attach it?
Confirm that the tree is mature and one of the six confirmed compatible types. Seedlings, stumps and logs are not published targets.
Why did I get the wrong sap?
The tree identity determines the output. Check the mapping table before expecting Sweet Sap, Sour Sap or Pine Resin.
Why is there no upgrade?
No separate upgrade is represented in the current data. Do not infer one from another machine's upgrade pattern.
FAQ
Sap Collector Questions
Short answers for the recipe, tree mapping and three-day cycle.
How do you get the Sap Collector?
The Sap Collector becomes available during early story progression and is crafted at a Workbench with Wood ×20 and Stone ×5.
Which trees work with the Sap Collector?
The six confirmed mappings are Bamboo, Pine Tree, Oak Tree, Chestnut Tree, Cedar Tree and Cypress Tree.
How long does sap take?
A Sap Collector on a compatible mature tree produces its corresponding sap every 3 days.
Which tree gives Sweet Sap?
A Chestnut Tree gives Sweet Sap when fitted with a Sap Collector.
Which tree gives Sour Sap?
An Oak Tree gives Sour Sap when fitted with a Sap Collector.
Does every tree work?
No. Use the six confirmed tree mappings. Seedlings, stumps, felled logs and generic tree types are not included.
Is there an Upgraded Sap Collector?
No separate upgrade is represented in the current structured data, so this guide does not invent one.
