Shipping & Shipment Progression

Shipping & Shipment Unlocks Guide

Put sellable items into the Shipping Box at home to sell them the next morning. Shipping also drives progression: some seeds unlock after crop shipments, others require crops shipped in two different seasons, and several fruit saplings depend on Fruit-category shipment totals.

Quick answer: Shipping is a sale and progression system, not a Storage Box. Keep ordinary Shipping, Chief Deliveries, Requests and Hunting Certificate submissions separate.

Quick Facts

What the Shipping Box actually does

The current repository supports the workflow below without inventing capacity, clock time or resale formulas.

Home sale point

The Shipping Box is the normal home shipment container. Storage Boxes and remote linked storage do not become shipping points.

Lin pickup

Lin collects and settles the contents on the next morning cycle.

Expected total

The box displays the combined expected sell value before settlement.

Capacity

A numeric slot or stack capacity is not established in the current canonical data.

How Shipping Works

Place, review, then wait for the next morning

The settlement delay matters when you are planning construction, tools or livestock purchases.

01

Place sellable items

Use the Shipping Box at home. Ordinary sellable items use their shared item sell values.

02

Review the total

The box shows the expected combined shipment value before the day ends.

03

Adjust if needed

Items can be added or removed before Lin settles the shipment.

04

Collect tomorrow

Lin processes the box the next morning. Money is not immediate cash on deposit.

The exact settlement clock time, capacity, upgrade path and deposit-day versus settlement-day season attribution remain unknown.

Shippability

Use canonical sell values, not a global resale formula

A price alone is not permission to discard a special item.

Normal rule

The safe shared rule is an item with a non-null sell value and no explicit canShip=false restriction. The current page does not duplicate every item record.

Keep special items

Key items, quest-only items, protected collectibles and progression reserves should not be shipped unless their item record explicitly allows it.

No 0.7 rule

Do not calculate sell value as buy price × 0.7 globally. Use the canonical sell value for the individual item.

For profitability comparisons, use the Money-Making Guide. This page explains settlement and progression, not a universal best-crop ranking.

Keep Systems Separate

Shipping is not Chief Delivery or a request hand-in

Similar words such as Fruit and Delivery do not mean the counters are shared.

Ordinary Shipping

Shipping Box sale, next-morning payout, lifetime shipment value and shop progression.

Chief Deliveries

Fixed binder groups, category rewards and building or furniture progression. See Chief Deliveries.

Villager Requests

Requests pay their own reward and raise friendship. They do not automatically count as Shipping. See Requests.

Hunting Certificate Box

Hunter Lodge submissions are a separate special delivery container. See Hunting.

Shipment Counters

Do not collapse every counter into one progress bar

Different unlocks read different kinds of history.

Lifetime shipment value

Cumulative money shipped

This is the metric used by the current Money / Shipping achievements.

Generic crop shipment

Threshold unknown

Some shop records advance from crop shipments without a published numeric count.

Season-based shipment

Two distinct seasons

The condition tracks participation across seasons, not a quantity of two items.

Category shipment

Fruit threshold unknown

Fruit-category progress is separate from crop count and Fruit Tree growth.

Achievement audit: the canonical achievement descriptions use cumulative shipment value: ¥10,000, ¥100,000, ¥1,000,000, ¥10,000,000. These are lifetime shipment totals, not current wallet balance.

Seed & Sapling Unlocks

Shipment progression has several families

The detailed record authority remains the Seeds & Saplings guide; this page explains how to read its shipment conditions.

Ship crops

Advance the relevant crop-shipment milestone. The exact threshold is not published.

CarrotAsparagusSoybeanMulberry Sapling

Ship in 2 seasons

Ship qualifying crops across two distinct seasons. This is not two crops and not Year 2.

WatermelonCherry SaplingPlum SaplingPeach SaplingPear SaplingApple SaplingMandarin Sapling

Fruit-category shipment

Ship enough qualifying Fruit-category items. The exact threshold is unresolved.

Grape SaplingPersimmon SaplingLemon SaplingYuzu Sapling

Year fallback

Some records can appear through later calendar progression instead of shipment progress.

Cherry RadishPeaStrawberryGarlic

Current two-season examples include Watermelon, Cherry Sapling, Plum Sapling, Peach Sapling, Pear Sapling, Apple Sapling, Mandarin Sapling. Use Seeds & Saplings Unlocks for the full record table.

Two-Season Shipment

Two seasons means two distinct seasons

This is a historical season condition, not a simple item quantity.

Correct interpretation

Ship qualifying crops in Season A and Season B.

2

Distinct seasons

Not 2

Required item quantity

Not Year 2

Calendar requirement

What remains unresolved?

The repository records the condition as ship-across-seasons with seasonCount: 2. It does not prove whether the game attributes the season by deposit day or settlement day when a shipment crosses a boundary.

Fruit-Category Shipment

Fruit category is not the same as Fruit Tree

Growth type and shipment category are separate concepts.

Field Fruit examples

StrawberryBlueberryWatermelonMelon

Strawberry, Blueberry, Watermelon and Melon demonstrate why Fruit-category shipment does not require a Fruit Tree.

Sapling records

  • Grape Sapling: Fruit-category threshold not published
  • Persimmon Sapling: Fruit-category threshold not published
  • Lemon Sapling: Fruit-category threshold not published
  • Yuzu Sapling: Fruit-category threshold not published

Do not replace the unknown threshold with an estimated 10, 15, 20 or 30 shipments.

Keep the authorities separate

This page owns the unlock relationship. The Fruit Trees Guide owns planting, growth, seasons and spacing.

Shop Refresh

Check new stock after shipment processing

Shipment-based unlocks are not presented as instant listing changes.

Safe expectation

Review Sazanka's shop after the shipment has processed, generally on the next-day cycle.

Not claimed

The exact internal refresh event, clock time and listing animation are not isolated in the repository.

Year fallback

Some seed or sapling records also use a later-year fallback. Do not assume the shipment route is the only route.

Shipping Strategy

Plan tomorrow's money, not today's wallet

A few low-risk habits keep shipment progression from competing with every other system.

Reserve first

Keep a small reserve of request, construction and processing materials instead of shipping everything.

Buy one day ahead

Because settlement is next morning, plan ahead before expensive tools, buildings or livestock purchases.

Compare processing

Processed goods can have different values, quantities and times. Do not assume processing always wins.

Avoid exploit framing

Seed-resale strategies are not part of the core shipping rules and are not presented as the recommended progression path.

Troubleshooting

Why did shipping not unlock the item?

Check which progression family the item actually uses.

The shipment has not settled yet; wait for the next morning.
The item uses a generic crop-shipment threshold that is not published as a number.
Two seasons means distinct seasons, not two shipped items and not Year 2.
Fruit-category progress is separate from Fruit Tree ownership.
The item may use a Year fallback, Plow, contest or Greenhouse condition instead.
Chief Deliveries, Requests and Hunting submissions do not automatically count as ordinary Shipping.
The shop listing may appear only after shipment processing rather than immediately.
Do not spend a key, quest or protected item just because it has a visible price.

FAQ

Shipping questions

How does the Shipping Box work?

Place sellable items in the Shipping Box at home. The box shows the expected combined value, and Lin settles the shipment the next morning.

When do you get money from shipped items?

The payout is settled the next morning, not immediately on the day you place the items.

Can you remove items before shipment?

Yes. The current gameplay model allows you to adjust the contents before settlement.

What items can be shipped?

Use the item's canonical sell value and shippability flag. Do not assume that every priced key, quest or protected item is safe to ship.

Does shipping unlock seeds?

Yes. Some shop records use generic crop shipment progression, while others use two-season or Fruit-category shipment conditions.

What does ship crops in two seasons mean?

It means qualifying crops were shipped across two distinct seasons. It does not mean two items and it does not mean Year 2.

Which saplings require Fruit-category shipments?

The current records identify Grape, Persimmon, Lemon and Yuzu Saplings. The exact cumulative Fruit threshold is not published.

How many Fruit items do you need to ship?

The exact threshold is unresolved. Do not rely on player estimates such as 10, 15, 20 or 30 as canonical.

Does Strawberry count as Fruit even though it is not a fruit tree?

Fruit-category membership and Fruit Tree growth type are separate. Field crops such as Strawberry and Blueberry can qualify for the broad Fruit category.

Are Chief Deliveries the same as shipping?

No. Chief Deliveries use fixed binder groups and rewards; they are a separate progression system.

Do Requests count toward shipment totals?

No. Villager Requests are a separate request and friendship system.

When does new shop stock appear after shipping?

Shipment-based unlocks should be checked after shipment processing, generally on the next-day cycle. The exact internal refresh event is not isolated.

Authority boundary: use Seeds & Saplings for individual unlock records, Chief Deliveries for binder progression, and Money Making for profitability strategy.
