Friendship & Relationship Events
Friendship & Relationship Events Guide
Raise friendship by talking to villagers, giving gifts and completing Requests. Each character normally accepts two gifts per week, friendship progresses through six stages, and later stages can unlock recipes, private-room access, Meal Invitations and Sleepover Events.

Quick Facts
The relationship rules at a glance
These are the current canonical system rules. Gift preferences, birthdays, requests and recipes remain owned by their focused guides.
Daily conversation
Talk to villagers each day to raise friendship. Exact points are unknown.
Weekly reset
The ordinary gift counter resets on Monday in the current relationship evidence.
Private room
Stage 3 is the general threshold where a character supports room access.
Birthday gift
Birthday gifts are separate from the ordinary weekly two-gift allowance.
How to Raise Friendship
Use the repeatable actions that are actually documented
Friendship is a daily and weekly routine, not a hidden point calculator.
01
Talk daily
A daily conversation raises friendship. The repository does not establish whether repeated conversations on one day stack.
02
Give gifts
Give one ordinary gift per character per day and no more than two ordinary gifts in the week. Likes are more efficient; Dislikes can lower friendship.
03
Complete Requests
Villager Requests raise friendship as well as paying a reward. Keep request mechanics in the Requests Guide.
04
Use the Friendship Skill
The canonical Villager Friendship Technique is a Repair Stage 3 Shrine skill and makes friendship easier to raise. Its shared cost is maintained in the Skills Guide.
Gift Limits
One gift per day, two ordinary gifts per week
Plan the count first, then choose a documented Like from the separate NPC Gifts database.
1
Per character / day
2
Per character / week
Monday
Weekly reset
Giving the week's two gifts early can leave more days for a qualifying relationship event to trigger, but Monday or Tuesday is a strategy suggestion rather than a mandatory event condition.
Birthday allowance
Birthday gifts are treated separately from the normal weekly two-gift allowance. The exact friendship multiplier is still unknown, so do not plan around a fixed 2× or 3× value.
Open the Villager Birthdays calendarFocus
Check preferences before spending a gift
Focus / Observe is the safest in-game way to inspect a villager's known preferences.
What it reveals
Likes and Dislikes. Unknown reactions should not automatically be treated as Neutral.
Control handling
Use the Focus command for your platform. The current evidence mentions an L-button control, but this page does not make it universal.
Where to search next
Use NPC Gifts for the complete 14-villager preference table.
Friendship Stages
Six stages, with the sixth hidden at first
The game initially presents five visible stages, then reveals a sixth after Stage 5. Exact numeric thresholds are not canonical.
Stage 1
Relationship event or recipe source
Use this as a progression category, not as a promise of a universal identical reward table.
Stage 2
Relationship event or recipe source
Use this as a progression category, not as a promise of a universal identical reward table.
Stage 3
Recipe/event source; private-room access where supported; Meal Invitation eligibility
Use this as a progression category, not as a promise of a universal identical reward table.
Stage 4
Further relationship or meal-event content
The broad event tier is known, but exact per-character order can differ or remains unresolved.
Stage 5
Further relationship or meal-event content
The broad event tier is known, but exact per-character order can differ or remains unresolved.
Stage 6 · Hidden until Stage 5
Hidden final friendship stage; late relationship-event eligibility
Use this as a progression category, not as a promise of a universal identical reward table.
Friendship points and stage thresholds remain null. The page intentionally does not publish invented totals such as 100, 200 or 500.
Friendship Rewards
Recipes and access are event rewards, not a romance route
Talk to a villager after a relationship stage or event advances when the game makes the interaction available.
Cooking recipes
Relationship events can teach cooking recipes. The exact reward ID can be character- and event-specific; ingredients and instructions belong to the Cooking Guide.
Private rooms
Stage 3 is the current general private-room threshold where a character has a supported room. This is access to a relationship location, not moving in, dating or marriage.
Completion context
Relationship recipes and event rewards can matter for collection cleanup. Use the Catalog Guide for completion planning rather than duplicating recipe data here.
Meal Invitation
Stage 3+ makes the meal event eligible
Meeting the known requirements does not guarantee an invitation immediately.
Minimum stage
Friendship Stage 3+
Weekly gifts
Two gifts during the current week
Conversation
Talk before late afternoon on a qualifying day; the observed 4:30 PM cutoff is not canonical.
Trigger
Conditional and timing-sensitive. No probability is published.
The current event model does not confirm the exact number of Meal Invitations per character, whether every character supports the same chain or whether the two gifts must be favorite items. The known requirement is gift count, not a guaranteed favorite-gift quality check.
Sleepover Event
The late friendship event sits behind Stage 6
Sleepover is a relationship event, not a romance or marriage ending.
Minimum stage
Friendship Stage 6
Prior events
Three completed Meal Invitations in the current event chain
Weekly gifts
Two gifts during the current week
Conversation
Talk before evening once the other requirements are met; the observed 6:00 PM cutoff is not canonical.
Trigger
Conditional / hidden timing. No probability or guaranteed same-day trigger.
The exact Sleepover count per character remains unresolved. Do not assume that Stage 6 alone guarantees the event, and do not describe it as marriage.
Troubleshooting
Why did the relationship event not trigger?
Known requirements create eligibility; they do not remove hidden timing or character-specific exceptions.
Weekly Routine
A low-stress friendship loop
This is evidence-grounded planning advice, not a guaranteed optimization formula.
01
Talk to important villagers during the normal daily route.
02
Give each target one documented Like, staying within two ordinary gifts for the week.
03
Complete Requests when the requested item is safe to spend.
04
After a stage increase, talk again and check for recipe, room or event progress.
