Village in the Shade Quarry Hot Spring Guide

Reach the bottom of the Quarry, defeat the 120F boss, and clear the event to open the Hot Spring in the mountain area northwest of the village.

Hot Spring — Short Answer

Requirement

Clear Quarry 120F

Encounter

One-eyed centipede-like boss

Location

Northwest mountain area

Benefit

Stamina recovery

How to Unlock It

Quarry 120F is the complete requirement

The progression is simple even though the route is long: descend to 120F, win the boss encounter and finish the event.

01

Use Quarry checkpoints as you descend.

02

Reach Floor 120 and defeat the boss.

03

Leave the cleared event, then visit the newly available spring.

For the full mineral-floor, checkpoint and pickaxe progression, use the full Quarry floor and mining progression guide. This page keeps its focus on the boss and Hot Spring.

120F Boss Strategy

Read the telegraph, then take the eye opening

Exact HP, damage values and invented phases are not needed for a reliable explanation.

  1. Watch the warning lines before committing to movement.
  2. Move clear of charge paths and falling-rock danger zones.
  3. When the boss stops and exposes its eye, attack that opening.
  4. Repeat the evade-and-punish rhythm instead of chasing it into a telegraph.

Prepare for a long fight

Bring recovery items and make sure your combat tools are upgraded appropriately for your current Quarry progress. The current guide data does not establish a mandatory weapon, Shrine skill, level or armor set.

After the Boss

The Hot Spring becomes available after the event

Current data supports the unlock after clearing the 120F boss event; it does not require labeling the feature as postgame-only.

Return to the mountain area northwest of the village and interact near the entrance or nearby interaction point to bathe. Avoid assuming a fee, exact time cost or reuse frequency unless a later source confirms one.

Effect

Stamina, not HP

The useful distinction is simple.

Using the Hot Spring restores Stamina. It is not the same as increasing maximum HP, and this page does not claim an exact recovery amount or a full-restoration number.

Achievement

Liquid Assets

The canonical achievement mapping uses the Japanese label 致富 and the condition, not the row position in the achievement list.

FAQ

Quarry Hot Spring questions

How do I unlock the Hot Spring?

Reach Quarry Floor 120, defeat the boss there and clear the resulting event. The Hot Spring then becomes available.

What floor is the Quarry boss on?

The boss encounter is on Quarry Floor 120F.

What does the Quarry boss look like?

It is a one-eyed, centipede-like monster. This guide uses a description rather than treating a fan translation as an official English boss name.

How do I avoid the boss attacks?

Watch the visible warning lines, move away from charge paths and falling rocks, then attack the eye when the boss stops and exposes an opening.

Can I pause to read the warning lines?

Current guide data recommends opening the inventory to pause and choose a safer direction before resuming. Use it to read telegraphs, not as a combat exploit.

Where is the Hot Spring?

After the unlock, access it in the mountain area northwest of the village, near the entrance interaction point.

Does the Hot Spring restore HP or Stamina?

It restores Stamina. Do not confuse this with HP recovery or Nushi's Scale's maximum-HP effect.

Is the Hot Spring a postgame feature?

Not according to the current data. It is tied to Quarry progression and is not labeled postgame-only.

Which achievement is tied to the Hot Spring?

The related Steam achievement is Liquid Assets; its current condition is: Dug up a hot spring in Village in the Shade Mode.
