Hunting Licenses are purchased through the Hunter Lodge and identify the animal-specific hunting access used by the hunting system. This guide lists every current license, its price and any verified unlock information.

The current records list nine licenses from Squirrel through Bear. The hunting system requires the appropriate license for the animal being hunted; individual license progression beyond the documented hunting-system unlock is not fully isolated.
English animal and system terminology may be updated after the official Western localization can be verified on October 27, 2026.

System unlock
Learn trapping and hunting
The current Helping Task record for Shiroji, “Learn trapping and hunting,” lists “Hunting licenses become purchasable” and “Traps become purchasable” as unlocks. This is the documented system-level gate; separate animal-by-animal gates are not fully recorded.

What each license is for
The animal mapping uses the stable license IDs from the Hunter Lodge stock. The price is not treated as a difficulty, profit or unlock ranking.

The Deer Hunting License is additionally documented as required for the Rule VI story route and for the Bake Rabbit mountaintop event. That story relationship does not establish the unlock conditions for Boar or Bear.

Why Is a Hunting License Not Available?
Check the documented system and vendor boundaries before assuming a hidden rank or date.
Important boundary: prices do not prove unlock order. Current sources do not document Hunter Rank requirements, license renewal, repurchase behavior, daily license rotation or refunds.

No. Higher price does not prove a later unlock, and this page does not invent a Hunter Rank or story gate.
